How to make your iPhone transparent

Do you like transparency everywhere, including on your iPhone? Then take a look at several apps which will bring this trendy feature into your iDevice.

transparent_iphoneSpringtomize is an app that allows to taylor the iPhone’s SpringBoard, icons, folders and lockscreen, as well as various animations. Springtomize also allows to save a SpringBoard layout and to restore it if needed. Various animations can be customized, choosing a color of the screenshot flash or diming the device screen are also possible options. But the most important part for us is the Theming section, where we can choose a custom dock, including a transparent one. There can be set the transparency of the icons and the brightness of the wallpaper. With the release of Springtomize 2, a newer version of this jailbreak app is available on Cydia, which provides improved and diversified options.

Alphacon is the way to easily adjust the transparency of the icons and turn off the labels. Once installed, this jailbreak app can enable/disable the above mentioned options. You can further customize what elements you want these settings to be applied to: home screen, switcher, dock or folders. So if you’d like for one of these elements to be transparent, you can just tick on the transparency option in the settings bar. The same deal with icon labels. All of them or just some could be turned on/off.

Winterboard is one of the oldest and most famous applications that let you customizetransparent_icons your iPhone. Among many other options, it changes the transparency settings for the dock, icons and wallpapers. According to the transparency level set, these elements turn dim, transparent or completely invisible. WinterBoard also activates Clear Icons, a free custom modification available for a jailbroken iPhone on Cydia. Clear Icons changes the code on the iPhone to display all icons transparent.

Transparency is a free mode that allows you to make your iPhone, iPad and iPod icons fully transparent. It will not remove the text from the icon names, so you should still be able to find your settings.  If your device has a beautiful picture you want to be displayed on your homescreen and you do not want the icons to block it, you can use this feature. You can choose to display the icons, but remove some other details about them. For example, you can erase the shadow that appears behind the icons or the reflection that shows in the dock, by making them transparent. This allows you to take control over how the icons look. You can remove from the settings screen the date from calendar or clock icon. One of the most liked options it provides is to get rid of the icon labels.

Absolute Transparency is not quite an app but rather a theme from Cydia. Your wallpaper could look dull and shady on your lockscreen. There is a solution to clear the lockscreen without having annoying shades on your wallpaper. Just install Absolute Transparency and your iPhone background will look cool.

Transparent iPhone! This tweak can activate your camera as your wallpaper, but it only works if the SpringBoard is visible. Just download the app from Cydia, unlock your screen, and activate it. Simply click on the camera button, exit and enjoy the new transparent background. The transparency level of the camera and of the icons can be changed by using the settings bar of the app.

Overall, these are cool tweaks that are designed to give you a little more control over the icons and the background on your iPhone, making it to look like a virtual and extremely soft high-tech product.
